Family members often face major emotional, organisational and interpersonal challenges. This course is aimed at partners, parents, children, siblings and other close persons of people with mental illness.  <\/p><p data-start=\"463\" data-end=\"843\">In the course, participants receive basic information about common mental illnesses, their impact on everyday life, and treatment and support options. In addition, strategies are taught to cope better with stressful situations, improve communication with those affected, and protect one\u2019s own mental health. <\/p><p data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"1195\">Another focus is on sharing experiences with other family members. In a protected setting, questions can be asked, challenges discussed and mutual support experienced.
