The prevention course “With Humanity: Paths Out of Loneliness” supports participants in better understanding pain and developing a health-promoting approach to physical complaints. The goal of the course is to strengthen the understanding of the connections between body, psyche, and lifestyle, to promote personal coping strategies, and to improve quality of life in everyday life.
The course provides fundamental information about the origin and perception of pain. Participants learn how physical, emotional, and social factors can influence the sensation of pain. A holistic view of the topic of pain is promoted, taking both physical and psychological aspects into account.
A focus is placed on the perception of one’s own stressors and resources. Participants learn to recognize stress factors and understand their influence on physical well-being. Furthermore, methods for relaxation, mindfulness, and body awareness are taught, which can help reduce personal strain and increase well-being.
Through practical exercises, reflection tasks, and everyday strategies, possibilities for actively supporting one’s own health are demonstrated. In addition, health-promoting behaviors are strengthened and individual ways are developed to deal with physical complaints in a more conscious and self-caring manner.
The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications and promotes a mindful approach to the body’s signals. It serves the purpose of prevention and health promotion and does not replace medical, physiotherapeutic, or psychotherapeutic treatment.
This service is provided as part of basic psychotherapeutic care and is fully covered by statutory health insurance. A prerequisite is attending a psychotherapeutic consultation, during which the indication and expectations will be discussed.
Cost coverage by private health insurance depends on your agreed insurance coverage. Participation as a self-payer is possible.
